This movement is hand-wound and boasts a prodigious power reserve of 10 days courtesy of one barrel. Historically, Oris has sourced movements from ETA or Sellita, however, in 2014, the brand from Hölstein released the in-house Calibre 110. The cost of developing and making a movement is huge and requires much know-how, barriers which prevent many watch brands taking the in-house route. Most watch brands procure movements from specialist companies such as Chronode, Concepto, ETA, La Joux-Perret, Sellita, Soprod, Vaucher et al. Oris released the in-house Calibre 110 in 2014 Lastly, the Swiss marque provides peace of mind, courtesy of an impressive 10-year warranty. The brand state servicing is only required every 10 years. Two barrels collaborate to deliver a 5-day power reserve, the rotor has been designed to enhance reliability and the presence of silicium components mitigates the risk of magnetic influence on the escapement.
